Lean Smart Manufacturing
COSMOPlat has established seven Lighthouse Factories by leveraging Haier's lean manufacturing expertise and digital technologies to build an integrated MOM platform for electronics assembly. The platform combines lean digitalization, flexible production, system integration, and data analytics through six core modules—MES, WMS, QMS, IoT, ESOP, and Andon—to tackle operational challenges, transforms traditional management practices, drive digital transformation, and reduce costs.

Industry Challenges
Solutions
Lack of transparency in production management; low production capacity and efficiency
Inaccurate BOM and process routing; low efficiency and high error rate in issuing production tasks; poor control over in-process transfers and skipped stations; misusage of key materials increases cost.
MES – Foolproof, Error-Proof, Anti-Skip Station Control
Integrates ERP data (work orders, BOM, materials), ensures accurate tooling & materials tracking, prevents misfeeding and process skipping. Enables full-process data collection and traceability while coordinating with other systems to improve efficiency.
Inefficient Warehouse Management, Poor Material Flow
A large accumulation of raw materials occupies warehouse space and wastes storage resources. Inventory counting is difficult, increasing labor costs. A significant amount of expired or stagnant materials exists. Excess warehouse personnel and low inventory turnover further reduce efficiency.
WMS – Intelligent Warehouse and Logistics Management
Enables item-level tracking with unique codes, supports FIFO outbound logic, reduces expired inventory, minimizes redundant manpower, and boosts turnover efficiency.
Inadequate quality control, high defect outflow rate
Defects cannot be accurately traced to specific issues; unstructured quality management; high variation in defect rates; reworked defects remain untraceable.
QMS – Comprehensive Quality Management System
Provides full-spectrum quality checks including IQC, IPQC, FQC, OQC, and First Article Inspection. Enforces strict quality standards and can suspend production upon threshold breaches to control defect outflow and improve yield and pass-through rates.
Lack of real-time equipment data and operational visibility
Equipment operates in data silos; integration standards vary; data security is weak; predictive maintenance is difficult to implement.
IOT – Interconnected Equipment Data
Uses AI, computing, control, and communication technologies for real-time data acquisition, smart recognition, transmission, storage, and analysis. Enables full-process local and remote control to support production, scheduling, management, optimization, and diagnostics.
Paper-based SOPs are wasteful and outdated, unable to support timely line changes
Knowledge loss due to personnel turnover; lengthy training for new workers; printed SOPs cannot be updated quickly during line changes.
ESOP – Electronic Standard Operating Procedure System
Digitally displays SOPs on the production line with centralized management and control. Enables rapid release and real-time syncing for product changes. Paperless operations reduce costs, increase margins, and enhance brand image and competitiveness.
Delayed resolution of on-site issues, leading to decreased productivity
Equipment failures or material shortages aren't reported in time, causing prolonged downtime and disruption of production flow.
Andon – Real-time On-site Issue Response
Wristbands and call terminals are bound to stations and responsible personnel. When a problem arises, an instant alert is sent to the appropriate handler, reducing communication delays and ensuring rapid response and timely resolution to maintain production schedules.

End-to-End Data Connectivity
Achieves true data interoperability across the entire production process—linking equipment and systems to enable intelligent scenarios such as unmanned material delivery, one-click production switching, four-warehouse coordination, and reverse equipment control, setting a benchmark for IoT applications in the industry.
Application Scenarios
Production Process Management
Tailored for most electronics manufacturing scenarios, with precise matching of process routes and BOMs. Work orders are automatically broken down and issued to the production line with one click. Standardized interfaces support seamless integration with external systems for collaborative manufacturing.
Warehouse and Logistics Management
Provides end-to-end management of raw materials and finished goods—from inbound to production issue, product off-line, warehousing, and outbound. Enables coordinated control across the production lifecycle, improving logistics efficiency and reducing labor requirements.
Quality System Management
Implements a standardized quality management framework including IQC, IPQC, FQC, OQC, and First Article Inspection. Supports multi-point quality inspections and digital quality data management, reducing the outflow of defective products.
Industrial IoT Device Management
Supports protocol integration (MQTT/CoAP/HTTP/LWM2M/SNMP), enabling real-time device data collection, status monitoring, and reverse control via direct or gateway connections.
Electronic Work Instructions (EWI)
Replaces paper-based work guidance with digital instructions, including facial recognition for operator login and online process file viewing. Integrates with MES for synchronized production line switching and rapid changeovers.
On-site Issue Management
Enables real-time triggering of production site issues and direct notification of responsible personnel. This shortens issue resolution cycles and response times, significantly improving operational efficiency.
